I really like "Feelin' the Spirit", BN 4132. I think that Grant Green plays kinda like a horn player--clean, single notes, as opposed to a thick chordal style. Almost like singing...
"Street of Dreams" is good, too, with your hero, Larry Young. I also like "The Latin Bit". Green is all over the map, which interests me--those records are all different from one another, and they're all easy on the ears. He could flat-out play.I've been trying to hear more guitarists, lately. Lots of Jim Hall, Pat Martino, Kenny Burrell. Nothing esoteric, mind you--unless you're an Aja fan.
