The Miles Davis/Gil Evans set used both analog and digital masters. I used to have that set and I don't recall that it declared which were which.By the way, I do have the complete Blackhawk set (extraordinary!) as well as the complete Silent Way set. The latter has some surface noise. I contacted Mosaic and they told me that this was a problem with RTI and affected the entire pressing. It was too expensive to redo. It's a really good set and the sound is good otherwise, but we forewarned. BTW, Mosaic offers a money-back on all their products, so if you get a set from Mosaic and are unhappy for any reason (including the music), they'll exchange it for something else or give you your money back.
