Phono Stage for c£1000 / $2000 - JLTi / Sutherland ?

90.200.222.1

Hello, I hope someone can give me some advice. I recently posted a question regarding the JLTi and three inmates kindly responded recommending the JLTi.

My ystem is
Michell Gyrodec
Schroder Model 2 toneram,
Cartridgeman Musicmaker III
GSP Era Gold V phono stage
McIntosh MA6900 integrated
Spendor s8e speakers.

I'm looking for a phono stage which will give a sound which has less emphasis on the highs and upper mids. The bass on the on the Era Gold is excellent, and everything is else is good also but I think in partnership with the explicit Gyrodec it is too bright for my liking. The treble isn't harsh in my system but too pronounced for my tastes.

I've been reading about:

JLTi (it's very wide frequency response worries me that it may be even more explicit in the highs)

Sutherland phD - some people have called it boring but it sounds like it may be what I'm after as it doesn't sound bright at all.

Whest Audio 20 - I've read a couple of people on the asylum saying it sounded bright.

I listen to reggae,British indie pop, blues,as well as easy listneing such as Simon and Garfunkel,Norah jones etc.

Do any of you good fellows have any suggestions? Any suggestions would be really welcome,
Many thanks,
Mick jones.
