Here in Holland i notice a "survival of the fittest" on the used TT market. The high end models, Thorens, Garrard 301/401, the big Jap DD's, are fetching more and more money. There are German dealers buying TT in Holland, taking them home and selling them on Ebay.de with a profit of course. The days you could buy a Dual 701/Shure V15III for 25 euro are over. The "consumer" TT of the past, you can't give them away. Even a Pioneer Pl-12D, cleaned up, serviced, oiled, new headshell, new AT cart and stylus, won't sell. It seems that the few vinyl spinners left are mostly high enders.
