a) reviews are quite subjective
b) reviews are often system-dependent(or worse, depending on where you fall on the optimistic-pessimistic scale about the integrity of those doing the reviews.)
professional reviewers may be conflicted (some, not all), and personal reviewers often rate highly equipment that they own.
also, i'm not sure that your best selling strategy is to talk about how you are disappointed in something and ask if anyone wants to buy it! ;-)
perhaps you realize that traveling "too far" for an audition can cost you some time but save you some $$ and heartache in the long-term.
