The 'wall' closest to my equipment (on story-2 of a 2-story residence) is non-loadbearing, thusly just a vertical extension of the suspended floor. Luckily, it doesn't face the speakers so it's less of an 'acoustical sail'.In this case, I doubt I'd see any benefits to wall-mounting, though I have a mighty itch for the Finite-Element wall-mounts...
