I recently bought a VPI Scout. It immediately became apparent to my wife that it would be at risk to our cleaners (as wonderful and reliable as they are), so we promptly ordered a Ginko cover. We place a post-it on the plinth and also on the cover that says "PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH". It's worked so far (knock on wood).
