Okay, I've still got my eyes peeled on the Dual turntables. I have basically narrowed my search to the 1219/1229/1249, which I understand to be the best. Some of the CS500 models may also be good, but I'm not as sure about them. I absolutely love the CS5000, but it is far out of my price range. I am also expanding my search to the Thorens TD-145/150/160, which I may be able to afford. Some have suggested that Thorens bearings are fragile, and may be a gamble to buy over the internet, but I have heard numerous Thorens belt-drive tables, and I like the way they sound. Particularly, they are much quieter than the idler-driven Dual models, and I perceive a good, working example will be less maintenance to keep running.I've also read that the AR-XA is excellent, but the ones I've seen online are beat-up and expensive.
Again, thanks for your help.
