Just bought a Mint Thorens 125 mkII

It comes with the TP16 arm, This is for my SET/single driver system. How big is a SME3009 step up from the TP16. Also can I still use the stock thorens lift with that arm. I dont mind doing work to an armboard

Are their any other tonarm recomendation for that table under $500. Are they worth it?
