My mother was in her early 80's when she had the surgery. She came out of it seeing very well. maybe even too well. Maybe you'd have to know my mother to see how funny the story really is. She always prided herself on taking care of her skin and facial features. So when she came home after the surgery, she looked in the mirror and started fussing about the "solution' that the surgeon had used on her face that had caused all the (new) wrinkles on her face. In fact, I guess she had not seen them until after a successful surgery. So be careful. You may have newfound features after the surgery.
