I lust after a 500/550 for exactly the reason you offer. When I get around to a second system would love to match it with some JLB L100s and perhaps a Yamaha CR2020. Now, for me, that would be a killer 70s flavor system.Don't think there will be many nay sayers on the Kenwood recommendations. Still, like everything else most of the resin base Kenwoods are getting a bit pricey.
