This has speed accuracy and speed control equal to the Technics SL1200 model, but incorporates an easy to swap armboard allowing you to change tonearms in a matter of a few minutes. This is something no other table accomodates as well. The table is easy to modify and has awesome resonance control with a resin/lithic marble platter, and a plywood base. I would look into one of these.
BTW I got mine as a 550 with an Ortofon MC-3 cartridge. I paid 67 dollars plus 33 in shipping. I sold the MC-3 for 99.00 so my net cost on the table was FREE.
Everything has a price but some things can be priceless. I still love these tables after years of playing with a great deal of equipment. It is so easy to tweak and improve it is silly to dabble with stuff that is mediocre and sold for big dollars.
Now I will duck for cover as the usual suspects will attack this table without ever hearing one in their own listening room.
