Hello everyone!I'm new to vinyl, bought a one month used Music Hall MMF-5 recently, with the stock Goldring 1012GX cartridge.
I did the vertical alignment of the cartridge and set the tracking force. After that, the bottom of the cartridge is 1mm (or almost 1/32") away from the record. Does this seem to be the right distance?

- No, VTF=vertical tracking force. In other words, stylus force. /nt\ - HenryH 12:34:13 05/01/07 (4)

- You need an external gauge. Shure makes a simple beam one for $25. - HenryH 12:50:19 05/01/07 (2)
