aren't you the fellow who doesn't think vinyl can be quiet, at least listening on headphones.
I tried to visit both of those stores once. I gave up after a 1.5 hr commute from Upland 91784 zip, and ended up just spending 2.5 hrs @ Record Surplus, primarily in the 0.92 bin. Left the store spending just around $70 and still am working through them after 8 months. Most of the 0.92 records played excellently with some noise on perhaps 4 of 10. The regular LP's were very good.
Pictured is one of my $3? records from there. Played well, some noise, but listenable throughout. Wear wasn't bad. Great performances.
