I installed the OL advanced dc motor on my LP12 this week and am having trouble reading the strobe to adjust speed. Anyone else have this problem? I looked through the archives here pretty well but haven't solved my problem. The disc OL supplies is so small in diameter, I just see one continous line--maybe a quick glimpse of a darker block on occasion but it goes away. I'm using a flourescent light and have tried the free on-line strobes from Extreme Phono and Vinyl Engine. I also have a Technics SL-Q3 with a built-in strobe, so I know what I'm looking for. I just can't see lines stand still, it's just one continous grey circle. Do I need a better strobe, better light, brain surgery? Cross my eyes? Is there an angle I should hold my head? Am I getting old? Help!! Any suggestions would be appreciated. It has to be simpler than this.
