Hey Nightdoggy, please do me a favor and provide the exact model number for the cartridge you described. I went on the Ortofon website and could find nothing labelled M2 as a moving magnet or moving coil cartridge. I am looking for something new as well and have used Ortofons in the far far distant past and would like to try them again. Could not find any reference to threaded holes either. Now this does not mean anything. I could be looking straight at something like this and not see it, so I just need a little help and push in the right direction. Thanks for your help in advance.Ron
