I understand why radio didn't want to play things like "Heroin", but what is so scary about "Rockaway Beach"? The same could be said about bands like X. It's obvious why commercial broadcasters wanted nothing to do with Crass or Discharge, but some of those X songs are a brilliant synthesis of older, accessible material with some great lyric original lyric writing. Why was the risk in playing that sort of material?
