Please read this note.This is an extremely simple procedure.
Simply place two flat headed srewdrivers on each side of the phrenolic piece and apply firm pressure to both sides simultaneously.
This will break the physical bond of the resin from the shaft and it will easily slide off the shaft. .
The phrenolic piece is simply resin and linen. Applying heat might distort or damage this material.
BTW the phrenolic piece comes off very simply and very easily. You can replace it by pressing it back on. Do not hammer it back in place. Use a press.
