Early Ittoks had a two piece counterweight. This is apparent when viewing the counterweight which will have a right angle notch taken out of one end. Later Ittoks had a one piece counterweight, and looks, well, like a simple cylinder with a bevel on both ends. You're supposed to set the VTF dial to zero and then move the counterweight back and forth on the arm stub till it zeroes out and then set the tracking force. If you have the counterweight at the end of the stub and you still need to set the VTF dial at .5, then the clock style mainspring is either defective, or the dial indicator knob has moved (it is simply glued on, but with a pretty good glue!).
Hope this helps,
Stu
