After the early adopters get out the prices might get back to reasonable. The LP-34 is my personal favorite since it is very easy to modify.The B12G and B12GH are more modern but they lack the same clarity of sound I got from my LP-34 project.
What they do have is that Pabst Motor on the B12GH at least.... Now this might be worth 100-200 bucks all by itself.
