Home Vinyl Asylum

Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.

Been busy today.

Had to do a little bit of work to fit my new Slatedeck mounting plate for my Hadcock 242 tonearm. It needed 30mm width cut-out clearance in the armboard instead of the normal 28mm standard for SME, this is to allow fitting of Rega arms.
The width of the Hadcock collar stem is 12mm, I had to un-solder one phono plug in order for me to take the old collar off, then place the cables through the Slatedeck mounting plate slider, then re-solder the phono plug. Also the arm-lift platform obscures one of the thumbscrews, so had to tighten it with long nose pliers. In the end I'm more than happy with the results. Sorry for the wood dust.
