I was about to ask whether somebody had a 1219 service manual when i came to my senses and went to the Vinyl Engine straight away. They have a service manual PDF in English and German, free to download as usual. VE and VA forever!
The 1219 is a 'non runner' although the motor spins, the idler wheel looks good. It's complete even with the changer spindle. Automatics as usual are the problem. Hail the simple beltdrive TT like the Pioneer Pl-12D. Work to do, tips and tricks are welcome.
Cartridge, and this is the reason i bought the TT in the first place, is the legendary AT15XE with original stylus. Just checked it on a 1226 and it sounds good! Even on such a humble TT you hear it's something special. 10 euro is a bargain for the cart only. If i can get the 1219 up and running it's a super bargain. Big brother of the 1226, heavy platter, BIG motor. Alas no photos yet, my sister borrowed my camera.
