Let's say she is on to and she opens the box revealing a turntable or some big tube covered amp.You tell her that you made a purchase, but decided against later and were going to return it.
And the best:
""OHH NOOO HONEY, YOU OPENED THE BOX>>>>I felt guilty and decided to ship it back....but now that you opened it..I'm stuck with it----sigh (a little acting added here)"
It works every time for me...although she never opens the box.
