I have mine loaded at 214 ohms or so through the Cinemags. I have a Monster y-connector plugged into the input of the preamp. In one of the y-connector inputs I have male RCA's w/ 27400 ohm resistors soldered in for an equivalent impedance of 17309 ohms. The other y input has the output from the Cinemags. With the 47kOhms of the phono input and the impedance of the transformer this gives a load to the cartridge of around 214 ohms which I find is perfect.

It is easy to experiment also. Just make up some different loading RCA's w/ different value resistors and swap them.

I use a quick Excel sheet to calculate the values.
