My guess is you have only one turntable,one phono stage.There was a suggestion the problem may be the electronics which follow the turntable.The preamp,phono preamp.
Have you tried using another turntable(even a cheapie)to find-out whether the problem occurs irrespective of which turntable is used?
My system is very sensitive to warm-up,the unfolding of which manifests as bursts of roughness,cloudiness,lack of bass.
After the warm-up has taken place,these effects clear away completely and in their place step the opposite qualities smooth natural sound,clarity,and great bass.
Try a different turntable or phono preamp,just to rule out suspects.
