Total cost to try new table/Cartridge.......$500. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was about to purchase a new cartridge for the P5 when I saw a deal on Audiogon I couldnt pass up. $2000 for the Spacedeck table, Lyra cartridge and an added VPI 16.5 $2000 for ALL 1 mile from my home.

If sell my P5, VPI 16.5, upgraded TT PSU and Rega phonostage for $1500 or so, than my total cost to try this new table is $500.

LISTEN!!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>> $500 to try a new table and a $2000 cartridge.

Now if I bought a cartridge or a new tone arm, it would probably have cost me more.

How in the hell could I pass this up? You always make assumptions that are way off.

I took your post as...."HAHAHAHAHHAHA what an idiot. He payed a fortune a new turntable and only had a damaged cartridge""""" hahahahaha.. You are WAY OFF.

Nope. $500. (AND ONE HELL OF A KILLER DEAL). Also, I was trying to be polite when I said the cartridge may have been damaged. There is nothing wrong with it. I didnt have the heart to say what I truly feel--that the Rega P5 can only go so far. (Even my Rega dealer is not crazy about the table.)

One last thing. I tried a Benz with the Rega for a few days and had to ship it back. I HAD ALREADY GONE THROUGH SOME TROUBLE OF WORKING ON THE REGA.

Dam, PLEASE read peoples posts in full before adding you comments. You do this to me and others all the time. Get your facts straight.
