No attempt to start a new "what's spinning" thread, but what a difference a record company makes.One of my favorite pianists is Claudio Arrau. Got really lucky to acquire a box of European Issue LPs including Arrau Brahms 1 & 2 on EMI Electrola (His Masters Voice) C 187-50 266 67.
This is the same performance with Carlo Maria Giulini and the Philharmonia Orch. London that is easily found on Angel and Seraphim in the US with the usual crappy sound.
What a difference! The Angel and Seraphim issues can be found in the $1 bins
I paid $20 for this 2 record set and after hearing it I feel it is worth many time that.
Nobody here but us chickens.
