Hi everyone,
I haven't seen a lot on any Russco projects lately so I thought I would see if I could stir up a little interest on these alternative idlers. This is my second idler project, my first one was a Lenco L 75 for my stepson, whhich could be seen herehttp://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.mpl?forum=vinyl&n=575999&highlight=first+lenco+attempt&r=&session=
This project had been sitting on the back burner for quite awhile before I decided to get off my lazy butt and just do it. If you have ever seen the underside of a Russco, you would know that a multi layered plinth in the spirit of a Lenco could be quite an undertaking, hence my neglect to start. But I persevered and this is the result. It isn't quite as ink black silent like a Lenco, but the Lenco doesn't have a motor that is rated in "Horsepower" either. Enough rambling, here it is.
