This is a hard desire to fill. While broken-in Cardas should sound good, at a very high price, there were some good Monster Cables that fit your need for warmth. The ones I remember as best, had a combo of solid and stranded conductors. I have had good luck with the newer Acoustic Research cables; surprisingly nice.
There is a small company, always listing on the bay, known as Aural Thrills. They offer some $100. cables that have a good reputation. Has anyone tested these ? Audioquest is another, good reputation, cable supplier.
I would hesitate to throw big dollars, as your need for warmth needs confirmation from a trusted set of ears...
