I'm hearing some rumble, a low level sort of rattle, on my Planar 3, usually in the lead-in or even in silent parts of a quiet Lp. Is this what bearing damage sounds like? The table is about 7 years old and has the original motor.
I'm also wondering if this is serviceable, and whether just moving the arm to a new table might be more cost effective.
Anyone know where I can get Rega service in San Diego County (I'll also email the distributor)?
