Listening to the CD reissue right now, and the liner notes indicate that the first three tracks were the only usable ones from the 1959 Jackie's Bag session, and three from the 1960 Street Singer session were added on the original vinyl. The RVG reissue has the three Jackie's bag session tracks plus all six of Street Singer giving in total
1959 Jackie session (with Donald Byrd, Sonny Clark, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones):
Quadrangle
Blues Inn
Fidelfollowed by the complete 1960 "Street Singer" titles (with Blue Mitchell, Tina Brooks, Kenny Drew, Paul Chambers and Art Taylor):
Appointment in Ghana
A Ballad for Doll
Isle of Java
Street Singer
Melonae's Dance
MedinaIt looks like "Street Singer" only ever appeared as a Japanese LP.
Sound on the CD is nice and crisp on my study system, great sessions.
Cheers, Paul
