Yep... new to the tube thing... That's why I asked. Didn't want to give the dealer a hard time without a good reason.I'll see how they sound. Have a pair of the Groove Tube 12AX7M coming from another dealer to try out as well.

Jolida JD-9 is making the vinyl much more enjoyable on my system, even with the stock Chinese tubes. Waaaaaaaay better than what I had going. Almost hate to mess with it... Dynamics and the adjustability necessary to get nice, flat frequency response are the things I like best about it so far. There is something about the "wholeness" and smoothness of the sound that must have something to do with the tubes.
