I just received a pair of the new Tung-Sol 12AX7s for my new Jolida JD-9.I paid extra for the gold-pinned version, hoping for lower noise with my MC cart. I paid extra for a "matched pair" and specified they were for a phono stage.
At first glance, I noticed the printing was a little darker on one of the tubes. Upon closer inspection, one says 06 04 on it, the other says 06 09. The plates of the two tubes are even a slightly different shade of grey.
Should I keep this "matched pair" or send them back? I'll probably send a link to this thread to the dealer if I need to ask for a refund...
Thanks for any advice!!!
