I have sifted through 100s of postings and am tired of the search engine... I suppose I am search challenged, but come on...Who was it that put another arm on a Denon turntable? I got a gift of a Denon 60L and want to change out the arm. For those of you with a memory (better than mine for sure...) I worked on this table for a friend and the arm had Pepsi or something spilled on the bearings. I cleaned it up the best I could, but over time the owner used it only a bit and then gave up on it.
I recently helped him with an installation of gear and he insisted that I take the Denon in exchange. I didn't really want to, but it was clear that he wasn't going to keep it ("in the trash" were his words). I couldn't stand it, so I took it and now I am thinking about replacing the arm.
Someone here just did this kind of Kludge recently with spledid results, so I am hunting for help. Anyone remember who??
Muffin, go, go, go!
