Oooh, all the scary stuff--- heavy like shellacs, grey-groove discoloration, off-center labels, swirly dimples....But "pretty dynamic sonics" !
I wonder, are these maybe too early for the real jamaica trash-fest of bad pressings to have begun ? Don't know the real history, but... seems that at some point there would have been a hand-off of the mastering & pressing facilities from the colonists to the colonized, and of course at some point there was the early 70's energy crisis which prompted reusing dubious materials... lots of factors to weigh in here. Wonder if anybody's got a quick Jamaican Recording Industry history for us ... ?
Hope your luck holds throughout the rest of the package.
J.D.
