I have an original US pressing (which I bought when it first came out). It's not bad at all in my book. It has a real natural flow. The only thing I have compared it to is the recent digitally remastered reissue. The reissue has things going for it. There is better low end weight and it is much easier to hear into the mix. It also has a few added songs than the original has. The original US still has a bit more natural sense of flow, but both have their merits. While I usually go for original UK pressings when it comes to Beatles records, the US VG+ copy I had since purchasing has much more rhythmic snap than the NM UK original I had. I had several people come and listen and all preferred the US.
And I have also dealt with Left-Legged Pineapple quite successfully.
