Vox employed a great recording team--Aubort, etc., and their pressings reveal most of the dynamics and soundstage, much better than subsequent RCA pressings used above in comparison. The problem with Vox is that the pressings can have defects that cause momentary noise but one can ultimately find ones without defects. Earlier Vox' are thicker and better in quality control dept. Two I would recommend are the Faure Chamber music and the Ravel Complete Orchestral music.
