Slashdot is a geek news site which harbours some of the most new-gadget-obsessed nerds y'all ever seen. Whenever I've posted something positive about the vinyl experience (always in a reasonable tone of voice), I've been heckled by such comments as "Yeah, if you like hiss and crackle" and the like.
So for them to link to a PBS article on the matter and have the editors approve it for publication on the site is massive. Also, the number of comments is quite large for a /. story.
See below for the writeup and comments - I haven't read them myself yet, but I'm bracing myself for a tidal wave of iggorance mixed with the enlightened ones.
