You're right - it's heresy... but finding Blue Note LPs gets pricier and harder all the time. I only have one original white and blue Blue Note LP, Wayne Shorter's Juju. I've got a couple of the solid blue reprints, and they're okay. New Blue Note new re-releases on vinyl are just dreadful, from my two experiences: slightly warped, slightly off-centre, poor quality noisy vinyl, and in one case (Lou Donaldson's Blues Walk), made from completely messed up masters where channels drop out and come back in all over the place. Can't have been anyone listening while they did the mastering.
