Went to a record show Saturday with my son. We went mid morning and missed all the Zeplin, Hendrix, you name it if it was popular it was gone. Show was absolutely crowded, elbow to elbow. But the really nice thing was to see all the young people there. And, hearing hey Dad check this out or Mom come take a look at this. Really, really nice. This was families coming out to spend family time thumbing through bins and bins or vinyl.
I bought 18 lps for $19 and mostly I was trying to upgrade sleeve conditions. I did score a nice Dire Straits Love Over Gold, Yes Close to the Edge and a couple of others. Still there were people leaving with $50 and up. Best thing though was seeing all the kids and I know some of the people there. These weren't audiophiles and vinyl geeks. Just regular folks.
Just another Happy Saturday.......ahh its Monday again story....
