Re: Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but...

Hi Dave,

Thank you for helping me. US originals were first issued on the green butterfly label. I sold a nice original pressing on eBay a couple weeks ago in EX condition for just over $140 (see link below). It was first pressed on the green butterfly label with a gatefold cover and housed in a black company inner sleeve. The old Goldmine price guides (Neal Umphred's in particular) stated that 'Fun House' was first issued on the red Elektra label with the big E, but no one has ever come across a copy. Less than 5,000 original pressings were sold before it went out of print. It was later reissued in the late '70s-early '80s on the red Elektra label with the small E, but without a gatefold cover.

I recently found out that original UK pressings were in fact not issued with a gatefold cover. Now I am trying to discern whether UK copies were first issued on the red label with a white E above the spindle hole or whether they were first issued on the green butterfly label like their US counterparts. The copy which I found has A-1 and B-1 matrix codes in the trail-off vinyl. If the US originals sold poorly, I can only imagine that original UK pressings must be excedingly rare.
