I just listened to a recording of Dvorak Sym 7, London Phil with Giulini. I was curious about the interpretation, and didn't expect much sonically. Big surprise, it sounded good with quiet vinyl besides, completely unlike my other Angels and instead sounded much more like my EMI/ASD LPs. On the back of the LP it indicates that it is a Stereo/Quadraphonic recording and that for the stereo listener it "offers richer, more spacious sound with greater separation." Perhaps for a short time Angel actually cared about the quality of the mastering and pressing processes? Are there others with a similar experience, with Angel SQ LPs?
