Multiple choice:A) Raise speakers off floor for less LF reinforcement.
B) Move speakers further out into room, away from corners.
C) Invert speakers, woofer on top, with tilt back for tweet alignment.
D) Lower vtf a notch/index.
E) If (?) speakers are ported, experimentation with varying/restricting airflow.
F) Spikes under speakers, better coupling to floor (through carpet), IME can sometimes tidy up sloppy LF.
G) Tiny gauge (magnet wire) as speaker wire can occasionally change spectral balance a smidge (system dependent).
H) Are your woofers tightly screwed/bolted to baffle?
I) Sorry to hear it. Good Luck. Me ... just went from 8's on open baffle, to 12's. There certainly was a period of adjustment, after which .... I began to buy classical lp's. For the first time in my life (that's some might good eatin' there).
