I've now destroyed 2 sets of these and and its starting to get expensive (not to mention frustrating)!I'm attempting to connect an oc9ml cartridge to my new PT-9 tonearm. The first attempt resulted in my breaking the solder joint away from the clip on two of the lead wires that came with my tonearm.
I then ordered a set of lead wires from a very respected vendor on the internet. The female ends were about 3/4 the size/opening they needed to be so I attempted to open them some more so they would fit the male ends of the cartridge and arm. In doing so I broke the solder tab part of the clip away from the female end of the clip. Forensics showed these clips to be paper thin cheap.
I'm tired of screwing around with these not-so-cheap cheap leads and need recommendations on the quality cartridge leads that are available and which don't have to be screwed around with so they'll fit.
Is there such a product?
TIA
tonyb
