Yep, my vote for the "Best Sounding CD" would be the Joan Armatrading release "What's Inside" - it's the best sounding CD I own. It has remarkably superb detail. There is a ton of very tiny "parts" or "pieces" and you notice different ones each time it's played.It is by far and away the most remarkale audio quality I have ever expirenced on the "ordinary CD" (not SACD) format.
It's from 1995, not sure if it was ever released on LP...
