I have gasoline alley on the red mercury label and a german vertigo label a subsidiary of philips. The vertigo is absolutely quiet, with excellent sonics but I don't care for how overwhelmed Rod's voice is by the instruments. It is much the same on some cuts on the mercury label. Any good sounding versions out there? It sounds fine but the miking for the voice seems underwhelming. Norm
