Vinyl Asylum Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ. |

Hey all,Off a recommendation here, I bought the AT OC9II back in December 2004 and have lived with it happily ever after. I play A LOT of vinyl and have never had any trouble with it, mounted on my Thorens 126 MK-III, with the carbon arm. (This is the fully automatic table.)
I really loved the sound on my rig -- Meadowlark Hotrod Shearwaters driven by an old Yamaha 2020.Anyway, the diamond finally fell off last night. I had so many hours on the needle, that I wasn't really upset when it popped off.
That said, I obviously need a new cart. Is there any reason I should not just buy the same cart again -- now $289 from music direct?
I haven't followed the local banter about carts for some time, so please excuse if the post is old hat.
best to all
