i'm hoping to be able to find a rotating air/vacuum bearing assembly that will fit around the existing shaft, since i'm not confident that i'll be able to source the original parts. then i'll look for a vacuum pump and a platter mat that will accomodate the vacuum. i've contacted the micro seiki users group as well for input.
currently i'm using the mystic carbon fibre mat, and a custom clamp. i'm happy with this but as you know, we're always searching for the ultimate.......
