To switch tables or not to switch

Now that I have several tape decks with which to transcribe my
vinyl to, I was wondering about wether to keep my RX-2 w/MMC 4
cartridge, or upgrade. The Technic 1200 seems to take up quite a bit of space on this forum as well as several others. My first
table 35 years ago was the Dual with a Shure MK III, I believe.
Sounded very nice to my novice ears, but who knows nowadays?
