Those are some beauties. Aren't the ffrr Lps non-RIAA? I have an ffrr of Thomas Jensen conducting the Nielsen, and it sounds great. But I wonder if I can get better sound by using Audacity to EQ out the RIAA curve and then applying the ffrr curve.
Right now I'm listening to "Eileen Farrell as Medea", which is a mono Columbia from 1958 (It was issued in stereo the year after). The great thing about mono Lps is how much noise goes away when you hit the mono button, or when you mix to mono with software. Built-in redundancy is a great thing!
